THE COMMITTEE

 

 

 

An interim Committee formed to begin the establishment of the group, Biochar Network of Western Australia. It has completed the process of incorporation as a Not-for-Profit incorporated association.

​

An inaugural Annual General Meeting will be held shortly to recruit a full committee and continue the development of BNWA Inc’s strategic planning and activities schedule.

 

 

 

 

KATHY DAWSON

Kathy’s initial interest in biochar was related to its value as a habitat for microbes and mycorrhizal fungi, essential elements in building the fertility of her Manjimup farm's degraded soils.  At that time she was unaware of a local source of biochar so the interest was theoretical.

 

DON WOODCOCK

Vice Chairperson

Don is enthusiastic in promoting community resilience through building ecological and agricultural regeneration to produce nutrient dense foods that will become the medicine of the present.

 

EUAN BEAMONT

Treasurer

Originally a farmer from Mullewa, Western Australia, Euan holds a degree in Agribusiness, a diploma in Farm Management and has over 20 years’ experience in agriculture.
